After being carefully hand carved using professional linoleum cutting tools, Van Son Rubber Based Universal Ink is then spread over the linoleum with a Japanese soft rubber brayer (roller). Japanese Awagami Washi Hosho Select paper, which is made from sustainable materials, is then placed on top of the linoleum before pressure is applied using a press to evenly distribute the ink.

Due to this process, some small variations may occur, which makes each print truly unique.

The rubber ink, as well as the paper, have great archival properties and the ink sits so well on the paper.

The print will be packaged, with a sheet of card stock, in a cello bag, to protect from damage, water damage and maintain archival properties. A further, thicker piece of card will be added into the envelope, to add further protection to the print. The envelopes are also hard board backed with ‘Please do not bend’ printed on the front.
